Actually, he's right, reread what you quoted and bolded, MOTM mean nothing..... assists and goals don't tell how you did all game.

Neither of these is contradictory, assists and goals can show the difference between someone who is playing well, and someone who is playing well AND scoring/assisting. It can't directly tell you if someone is playing well or not, its a supplementary fact.

For all the people that LOVE to bang on about me using stats alone, I almost never only mention stats....... hence the long posts;)

Stats coupled with explanation of the stats, together, useful, apart, meaningless ;)

Hell, go back 4-5 years and the "main" stats were fairly basic and useful, today there is a stat for every single part of a game, and 90% of them are worthless tosh.

THe forward passing stat, players from the top 4 passing teams in the country have the most forward passes(and not listed but, the most passes, and the most backwards passes also). IE the stat WITH the two non listed ones couple together to say, du'h, better teams pass more so their "passing" midfielders pass more IN EVERY DIRECTION than other players.

Stat on its own, useless, stat with a little logic applied, makes sense(and in this case still completely useless).

Simple fact is, Silva has gotten a few assists, and still been almightily crap for a couple months. Zigic got 4 goals last night, and looked like some giant retard in the prem league..... crap players get goals and assists.

Hell, which goal/assist stats and per minute stats have I used most, when people were saying Fabregas wouldn't get a game with Iniesta/Xavi, and I was using all three players who were all great players, and I was just showing the difference in effectiveness between the three.

Far more prolific per minute on the pitch for a much worse team while at Arsenal...... how did that one play out since he moved to Barca? Far more prolific than at Arsenal and still far more prolific than Xavi or Iniesta ;)

Hope we can get a win tonight, that would put us 9 points clear of Stoke and those lot. Would be a great buffer to have (and we go above Pool again :D)
 
Nice goal, he could be a very good signing for them. Overall impressed with Hughes business, good business and good value for players who aren't at all over rated so don' thave silly fee's attached to them.

If they can just get someone not as useless as SWP their team starts looking pretty strong.

lol, almost conceded then. Bolton then just let Chamberlain run right through their lines but he shoots over. Definitely going for a jammy Bolton goal to open the scoring.
 
lol, Valencia vs Barca final, Pinto coming out and handballing outside the area to stop their striker getting to it, terrible reffing all around Europe :p

EDIT:- Jesus, Ngog's second chance was even closer, Arsenal looking to be even more embarrassing than Liverpool. Liverpool were having a bad game with, IIRC few chances to really take the lead or win, we've had a bunch of chances and just fluffed them. :(
