Tranmere go ahead against Wolves, Brentford conceded but went ahead again 3 minutes later.
Nolan with another straight red I think, what a pratt. I have no idea how, based on how completely awful he's been for the past 18 months, how average he was before that, what he's doing at the club still and starting games.
Anyone else read about bolton today? Debt up to £180mil. Income in the prem league was £58mil and they made about a £20-30mil loss on that so they were spending £90mil or so at a guess. Their income went down to 28mil or something last year but they only dropped wages by £17mil, and likely had to pay off some people to get the wage bill down that far so they lost £50 million last year.
It's why clubs at the bottom end can't or shouldn't spend that much. Prem league income is huge compared to the championship, however if you commit yourself to 4-5 year contracts on huge wages and big transfer fee's that only make financial sense if you can stay in the league..... then you get relegated. You'll be spending on a roughly premier league level for maybe 4 years after you drop out of it and you could easily lose a hundred million in that time.
