It was the correct decision. He went in high and it was a deserved second yellow.

It wasn't at all, he put his hand in his face and it wasn't much but he also trod(and could be called a stamp at a push) on his shin, studs in, it was almost a red. If the ref had been the other side and saw the studs in part it may have been a straight red.

Horrible tackler there, scissoring an ankle from behind clearly on purpose should be a red also. No attempt to get the ball, okay a little flick and a trip could hurt someone but not very often, but jumping in and wrapping both legs around catching the ankle. Less likely a broken ankle but a big chance of a sprain/ligament damage, nasty foul.
