Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th December 2016 - 1st January 2017]

Wow le donkey with a world class goal in the first half. Take a bow son, take a ****ing bow son:p.

IMO better than Mhiki's goal earlier this week. The buildup for Girouds goal was nothing short of brilliance.

YouTube "goalkeeper scorpion kick"

I remember watching Higuita doing that but pretty sure it was never described as such. Besides that though its entirely different to Giroud's technique.

Not that any of this actually matters though :p

It was onside so its automatically better for me. Massive element of luck with these goals so not goal of the season but good none the less.

Mine would be Mane vs Arsenal...because im a Liverpool fan and Mane is life.

Aye, I never seen the goal, just had a look at it, it's a back heel.

It's just the way you use your leg and the fact you look like a scorpion doing it.

easily goal of the season.

I dont see how a goal can be goal of the season with so much luck involved. He isnt placing that anywhere...just hoping its on target and the only reason he has to do that is because the cross to him was dire.

the intentions was there though. no doubt he tried to place that towards goal and he succeded.

Had the ball bounced off his head into the goal, thats pure luck but because Giroud INTENDED to place it towards goal, its a goal of the season for sure

onside / offside is irrelevant as both stood :D

Giroud was a copy / inspired by Mkhi's so is therefore worse by default :D:D
