Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th March - 2nd April 2014]

We just need to win all their remaining games to win the league - no pressure for us then :D

Edit: Oops no, forgot they still have 2 games on us after tomorrow.
Edit 2: One of the games is against us.

Well 'pool have the top in sight and it will be a game to see if they are title potential. Also gives chelsea a bit of a let off if the results go their way. City are almost certan to drop 4-6 pts between now and the end of season so there is a small chance they can get there.

No,it is.

I think, despite their results today you need to give a little more respect to Chelsea and City re yourvlast two games, even if they are at anfield

edit forcsomecreason I thought those games where in May rather than mid- April but point still stands

Give them respect how? I've said it is in our hands and it is, regardless of who we are playing.

RE. Our last two games, we got shafted in both by officials, in particular Chelsea, could've buried the City game if a 4 yard wrong offside call isn't made but Chelsea down to 10 men inside a couple of minutes we would've coasted and if not the two stone wall penalties in the second half awarded we would've had minimum draw.

Sounded like you were brushing off the possibility of anything other than a win

Above sounds like you think you are owed a win ( which can be a very dangerous way to think)

Or being completely shocked that its in our hands?

Correct and there's no need to fear them in a fairly called game :)

This is where bottle comes into it now though, it is, like you said, in you're hands. The shift in pressure is colossal..you can almost taste it.

Palace beating Chelsea was a bit of a shocker in all honesty, didnt see that coming. WAs expecting Chelsea to smash 7 goals past them:p. But got to hand it to Palace, an OG viat JT then managed to hang onto the result is good going.

As for Arsenal??, about time we showed some fight...something that was missing against Chelsea and Swansea in the past week. Was dreading the game thinking, here we go another thrashing by them but somehow managed to salvage a point from it. Flamini was immense, made those runs into the box was duly rewarded with a goal...something Le Donkey cant seem to do. Shame that Poldi missed that golden chance to make it 2-1 but looking at the replays, Hart did well enough to close the angle down.

Anyhow happy with the result and a little bit more happier that we showed some fight after going a goal down. Just need to get a result over Everton next week i hope then go onto to win our Fa Cup semi.

Still hoping Spuds do over Liverpool tomo, just to make things even more spicier at the top of the table.
