I think at the moment City are a level above us. We haven't had any hard games yet and we looked really suspect a few times even when the scoreline suggests otherwise. Liverpool will be a good test but I think until we play Chelsea, Tottenham or City we won't know much. We need to get Pogba back asap as well because Fellaini struggles against decent midfields.
After Saturday everyone in the press seems to think Fellaini is the 2nd coming.
Even with his two goals, some more control in midfield with Herrera instead - even if he didnt score himself - would have set up/created more goals than we lost through Fellaini not playing (and we would either be completely equal top, or actually top on gd).
I know Herrera played 90 minutes in Moscow but he has played so few games he should have been raring to go despite this (although we are lacking in CM options, with Carrick who can barely move at any pace and Pogba out until end of Nov if rumours are true).
No disrespect meant - but we usually cope pretty well with Spurs, but yeah Chelsea and City games will give us a better indication of where Utd is right now.
I wouldnt be surprised City , Chelsea and Utd are all pretty close by the end of the season - depending on injuries etc going forward of course.
edit - REALLY not looking forward to the Liverpool game already, we drew Stoke away after the last Int break mainly imo because Bailly and Jones werent playing in sync with each other and we also lost a bit going forward. I wouldnt be surprised if due to the early kick off and being at Anfield its a bit of a disaster for Utd even with a few players not being called up and therefore fully rested.
