Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 4th January 2017]

A quite shocking implosion from Bournemouth, what on earth.

Well it's an implosion of sorts, but it's also Arsenal, Arsenal did absolutely nothing for 60 minutes and were utterly utterly awful, embarrassingly bad. They actually started playing and in games like this if a team suddenly starts playing it's very hard for the other team to also suddenly pick up their level. We were playing in first, which meant they were cruising in 3rd, when we went into 5th they found they were stuck in 3rd.

Terrible decision by the ref though, never in a million years a red card, Ramsey being a little ****. Terrible by Arsenal for the majority of the game. May have drawn, still dropped 2 points though with Chelsea playing Spurs, at least we haven't dropped 2 points against both of them.

Nice to see us showing some grit for a change.

1 point is better than none. Still think bournemouth played us off the park until the 70th min.

despite the comeback it was poor.

Please dont you gloss over a dissapointing result.

Anything less then a win is not good enough. Im not a happy person. lose or draw, same bad result.

titles over we bottled it when we needed to win

Why did Xhaxa cost 30m?!

For me he's been worth it, other than a few stupid penalties and sending offs. He's been immense especially against Palace the other night.

First season and all that so probably will take him this season at least to settle in properly. But so far I wouldn't say he's a flop, he's got some aggressiveness in him like Viera used to have, something we have missed for god knows how long.

The whole team look jaded though tonight especially the first half which was a monumental pile of crap from us. Still don't know how we managed to get a point out of that game but thanks Bournemouth:p

Anyhow can hope that tomo Chelsea and Spuds draw otherwise we drop out of the top 4, which probably isn't a bad thing lol.

Go back to your spurs castle. that was a clear red.

You want to speak about the ref? well how is Xhaka's nudge a foul for the pen vs Bournmouth nudging Bellerin in the exact same fashion and getting away scot free?.

Clearly a spurs fan here lads. Dont believe DM is an arsenal fan

tbh we either compete for title or just not bother with top 4.

Arsenal would have won that had Bournemouth not had a player sent off. Such an injustice. The whole red card system needs a shake up - they should change it so if you commit a red card offence that the other team has to have a man sent off.

Well this has been a pretty good couple of days as a United fan. Now all we need is for Spurs to drop points tomorrow and it will have been an excellent lot of PL games.

Would have made Man City vs QPR more interesting I suppose, Barton commits 3 red card offences so City are down to 8 men :D

Shocking first 60 minutes from Arsenal last night! When I saw 3 of our front 4 as Giroud, Iwobi and Ramsey I knew we'd be bad but credit to Giroud he was involved in a few goals later on. Perez really needs to be given a chance in his proper position!

Although Bellerin should have looked over his shoulder for the first goal where on earth was Iwobi? That area was his to be covering as a RM and he was on the other side of the pitch near the centre circle. He is so lazy and pointless in nearly every game he plays in, nearly all their attacks came down the right. The Ox wasn't much better when he came on as RM.

Their second and third, only one of them should have stood. Either a shove in the back is a foul or it isn't. I thought Bournemouth's one was worse as at least Xhaka came in from the side yet they get away with it.

The ref was pretty shocking all round really, mainly for Bournemouth's advantage but it was no way a red card.

Whichever way you look at it it's points lost for Arsenal and a massive advantage for Chelsea.
