Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 4th May 2015]

i don't think we do. we should be aiming higher than mason and bentaleb in such important positions. lamela offers nothing either.

DM could be improved, but Lamela has the potential and shows signs, as do most of the team. They just don't seem together

Congratulations to Chelsea, hopefully next season will be more interesting, the league has been pretty bad this season.

Indeed, favourites at the start of the season and did everything they needed.

Wonder if they will end up going unbeaten at home this season , Liverpool and Sunderland to play and both teams have reason to go for the win but now the title is won it'll be interesting to see if Chelsea can stay motivated enough - that or play a solid 6-4-0 formation for the draw :p

Champions! :D

It was awesome today and awesome throughout the majority of the season.
We thoroughly deserved the title and played some great football up to about February when our small squad started to get stretched so we had to focus more on just getting the results we needed opposed to how we got those results.
It's utterly brilliant that fans of other teams are still moaning about how Chelsea have played this season completely choosing to forget how good we were for the first part of the season and how rubbish their teams have been :p
Only idiots focus on how bad the best team in the League has been.

Chelsea have been brilliant for 95% of the season. They let Man City have a sniff at one point, but that was as close as they got. After that they did what was needed.

As you say, they were awesome to watch in the first half of the season, and winning ugly is the difference between a good team and a great team, and while some will label them as boring, I won't be one of them. A good defensive game is a good game full stop, to be admired as much as a pacey, fluid attacking game. They won, and with more grace than some teams have in the past decade and a half.

That said, they haven't really had anyone challenging them. Man City have been poor, Man Utd still aren't consistent enough, Liverpool were never going to challenge given their complete loss of forward options and a defence from the middle ages and Arsenal won't be title contenders while Wenger sticks with his proven plan of just doing enough (indeed Wenger probably deemed this season as a success).

Still, congratulations to them. Undoubtedly the best team of this season.

Think this'll be the first time a team has been top of the table for the entire season as well (excluding goal difference)?

Lvg says rvp off penalties and at the end of the road. Hope so. Luxury signing cost us a bomb over the three years. Hopefully we'll clear out falcao and rvp and buy someone gasr

Never thought I'd be disappointed to hear that Steve McClaren won't be taking over my team.
