Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 7th December 2011]

A win is a win like i said that is what makes champions.

Arsenal play bad they lose
Chelsea play bad they lose
man city they play bad they lose

united play bad they Win.

Was a very very poor performance tho.

ironic that he showed more in his first season with us that he ever did at Wigan

Shocking game, as boring as one of cheets posts, 3 points the main thing I guess though :/

Yeah mate, I use to watch him week out at DW he was a top player, had everything, you keep thinking you can see more by watching a tv screen.

You see a lot more watching a screen, y'know, the whole pitch, rather than a bit of it from a rubbish angle surrounded by scummy drunkards.

Jus' sayin'.

Cheets, serious question: Will Whelan sack Martinez if you lot go down? Would you be against that?

Given that Wigan really have over-achieved for several season, the Championship seems like much more their natural level, so surely it would be worth giving him a chance there?

Whelan owe's Martinez for not leaving when he was given the chance to move on to bigger and better things.

Martinez deserves better than Wigan and the Championship if we're honest.

edit: could go to Villa if Mcleish continues to play such **** football.

I'm not 100% but I'm sure I read that Martinez was offered the Aston Villa job and was first choice, turned it down and stayed loyal to Whelan and Wigan.

MOTD running order:

1. Newcastle/Chelsea, 2. Man City/Norwich, 3. Blackburn/Swansea, 4. Spurs/Bolton, 5. Wigan/Arsenal, 6. Villa/Man Utd, 7. QPR/WBA.

That QPR/WBA game must have been pathetic to be behind the united game!

Does he though? Two good seasons at Swansea and two alright ones at Wigan (who have also been very poor at times under him). He's a decent manager so far, but he's not shown me anything to say that he's better than that.

How did you find that out?
