Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 7th December 2011]

Tbf being a referee isn't exactly an attractive proposition; they get abused so much by fans, players, managers to a ridiculous level and all the while get paid less in a year than some of the players they are attempting to manage get paid in a week. You're not going to get loads of people trying to do it and, therefore, a higher standard if referees are abused and vilified so much.

Ohh I agree, but! Two major and very basic incorrect decisions were made today and it's really getting annoying. If a video official was brought in then they would get far less abuse. Well, not far less but a little bit and at least the decisions would be correct :D

First time i have agreed with you about something...they should have gone down last season but somehow managed to stay up:confused:

But am glad we spanked Wigan 4-0...nice to see other players bag goals other than Robin Van Perfect:D...did i hear right on MOTD that RVP has scored more goals than all of Wigans squad?? LOL if true :D

Wigan might go down but you will win nothing again, you might play good football but cant win nowt.

I dunno, be pointless shacking him if Wigan go down, hes proven in Championship.

over-achieved? not really, could say the same thing about Arsenal :p

If wigan go down they go down, the world wont end despite what you lot think it will, get rid of some rot, build up a new team.

You say Championship is Wigans level, Wigan have only ever been in the Championship/Division 1 for 2 seasons, yet been in the EPL for 7 seasons :D

Hush
Could you have a bigger chip on your shoulder? All I asked was a straightforward question.

You've admitted yourself many times that you're not a big club, and that you don't have the money to establish yourself in the Premier League properly. So how is it suddenly a dig when I say that they'd be much more comfortable in the league below.

You wonder why everyone gets on your back, and yet you come out swinging to an attempt to have a perfectly normal conversation.

Wigan might go down but you will win nothing again, you might play good football but cant win nowt.

Is that statement supposed to make wigan sound better or some ****?

I'd rather play good football and win nowt than play meh football and go down.

Just woke up to see motd banging on about Luiz sending off, thanks :p back in an annoyed mood :p

Still a horrific decision and would have been a different game.... But...... I remember everyone saying we would be found out against the top 3. It's been anything but. Mancini called it the hardest game of the season, we got a point off ManU and Chelski were lucky with the sending off and we lost Taylor and Colo.

All said and done really proud of the lads and now we have Norwich, Swansea, Bolton and west brom which while difficult are all "winnable."

One thing becoming evident is our lack of squad depth, missing Guti/Colo and Tiote we struggle badly. But haway the lads! Still near the top :D

Big game against the bluenoses today after both Southampton and West Ham lost, cut it down to 3 points today and I'll start to take us more seriously. Bar today and Middlesbrough (both at home) our other fixtures (Millwall, Watford, Forest, all away) look pretty comfortable for us.

It's funny how you had Luiz yellowed for a blatant last man challenge yesterday, and at the same time Cahill got sent off for a foul on the halfway line that at least one of his teammates would have easily been able to cover.

Ah, consistency.

Newcastle got lucky with Ryan Taylor's tackle yesterday and the penalty against Man Utd last week which meant you got a point.

I don't dispute that it comes in roundabouts. We had some good luck last week and some bad luck this week.

The point was though that despite good/bad luck we have ultimately played well against 3 teams everyone was saying we were going to get stuffed by. We got 1 point more than I expected and gave them all a good game.

Onwards and upwards though :D Think its Norwich next, at Carrow Road though so will be tough especially if we are missing Colo or Taylor!

Just another arguement on the long list of why we should have video technology but ho hum :p

Did you go Spawn? guess not!

Dream of, of course, we have only been in the football league about 33 years ,give them time and maybe they can get in the CL.

Its been 6 Years, 6 Months and 17 Days since Arsenal Last Won a Trophy.
:D

Again, you will win nothing this season, very poor team and your manager is a laughing stock of the EPL.
