Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2nd - 7th March 2018]

Over the last 12 months he was the worst of the lot, even Ozil worked harder and showed more passion. Sanchez spent most of time stood with his hands on his hips sighing.
Exactly lol. Epic fail by Fez there:p.

I’m not regretting Sanchez leaving, it was the best thing he could have ever done for himself. With Arsenal we were never ever going to compete for the big trophies. At least with Utd he has that chance albeit a small chance but a better chance than us:p

I feel for Wenger as he always seems to conduct himself with dignity that I can see (on MotD). But it does seem that no other club would have given him so many chances as he's had now. Surely if he was anywhere else he'd have been gone ages ago?

Is it considered a good thing or a bad thing by fans that Arsenal are giving him so much respect? Nobody likes to see a club firing managers after a couple weeks/ having four managers in a season. But it strikes me that this is the other extreme, and not necessarily any healthier?

Sanchez stilll put a shift in towards the end, in fact he was one of the few that still looked bothered and his hands on hips strops were usually aimed at the rest of the team not working or conceding stupid goals. I wouldn't blame him for thinking whats the point even trying to make something happen in this team, but he still tried.

After a very solid performance last weekend, I'm hoping we can kick on and put in a good attacking performance tonight.

Probably going to lose though :p

no start for shaw again - even after what jm said a few weeks ago, really thinking shaw will be sold in the summer (and young wasn't that good against Chelsea either)

We just seem very prone to errors when teams go on the attack in the opening 10-20 mins. We don't settle quickly and I think teams are catching on to this.

Pogba has been poor too.

I still have no idea how Ashley Young has ever lasted this long in a club with money to burn. There's so much below average dead weight and we wonder why we're flailing around every season.

People praised when Mourinho got rid of Rooney, but there's less paid tosh from that era. Surely internally at the club, people must look at city's squad and look at who's in united and just be bewildered by how these guys are earning such a living...
