I can only assume some refs are pro VAR and make a mess on purpose and others are anti VAR and use it excessively to try and keep it out of the game.

These officials were obviously pro VAR.
 
The officials had a bet on 2-0, no other explanation. The first foul on Salah with a few mins to get was blatant but for them not to give the 2nd foul (probably just outside the area) right at the end was incredible. The Newcastle defender made no attempt to play the ball or even hide the trip - it was as clear a foul as you could ever possibly wish for.

As for the rest of the game, it was a bit like the first half vs West Ham. Newcastle done well to make it difficult for us but we never really got going. Second half was a bit better but it felt a bit too comfortable - at our best we would have run away and scored 4 or 5.

Depends what you mean by debut season, if you mean in the Premier League entirely, then this isn't his debut season anyway if you mean debut season at a new club then no, Andy Cole with 34 scored and 13 assists tops that list.
 
In that case, as posted, he's well on his way but he's got a good few goals and assists to grab yet to get the top spot.

The only player we had who scored more than 2 away all season was Sanchez and he only scored 4. Sanchez was literally the only player who was remotely decent away and he was having a poor season overall for us.

Honestly the next two home games are make or break, we lose at home to Watford and Milan, not because of league but confidence we'll be nowhere and maybe even in danger from Burnley. Burnley have been in poor form but they played Spurs, Liverpool, Utd, City in a row at home, that will hurt any clubs form/confidence. If they get back to earlier form and ours stays poor they are close enough to overhaul us.

The only thing we have left this year is home form and if that gets destroyed we're going to be in real trouble even qualifying for the europa cup, what a joke we're becoming.
