Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3 - 5th November 2012]

Milner having a hissy fit about something while warming up? Mancini just told him he's been dropped?

What a great day for United :).

Arsenal fans, I don't get why you are so annoyed, you are doing just as well as West Ham :D

Well that was an embarressment earlier, even worse than the Norwich performance. I don't understand how we couldn't even play simple 5 yard passes and how no one felt the need to play with any intensity whatsoever. We basically gifted Man U 3 points, they didn't play that well at all and should have got near double figures against that shocking performance.

It's becoming further ingrained in the team every year that we can't win games like these. I mean imagine you're a footballer at Arsenal, you know Utd away is tough even for top teams, they you realise you'll be playing with Santos at left back, no right winger, the best creative player is on the bench, that Santi/Podolski/Verm/Mert have been in pretty poor form.

In terms of defence, we got a new assistant manager from within the club, while plenty of other clubs have gone for the likes of, Steve Clarke, a guy who had been in that role at plenty of clubs. Why didn't Arsenal go outside and get someone proven to work with defences, or a proven assistant manager(or just a new god damned manager).

I've been saying it for years, we have fundamental problems, a manager who can't spot our flaws and doesn't attempt to fix them, a manager who has never managed to train a good defence a great offence with a great defence HE INHERETED and we did great, when they were gone, the last of those players really around 2003-2004, we fell apart at the back. He can't spot a bad player any more, he's buying players who don't have it. One look, 45 minutes of Gervinho in an Arsenal shirt summed him up.... never good enough, pee'd money away on him. Giroud, I don't think will ever be good enough, even if he was he's no better than Bentdner, who had we not treated like **** would still be here and happy to play on less money. Walcott was young and maybe showed promise, it was clear within 2 years he would never be good enough, still here. Song, Denilson, Diaby, all obvious within 6 months, yet nothing done for years.

Pires, Reyes, Arshavin, top players who were or are being forced out by Wenger for no reason what so ever. Two of them left because they were dropped more and more for someone like Hleb who was incompetant. Arshavin can't get games so other awful players get games, its mental.

New manager or we'll not move forwards again.

This is now a worse start to the season than ever in the prem league, worse than last year(1 point worse off), playing worse football. 10 freaking games, 15 points, its pathetic in terms of a team hoping for either 4th or potentially a title, we're no where at all. If West Brom and Newcastle win tomorrow we're looking at being 8th, and thats with a fair amount of luck, Liverpool being unable to score, City being garbage when we played them, neither Utd nor Chelsea being anywhere near their best when they beat us effectively very very easily.
