I really worry that Ferguson still insists that we don't really need to strengthen. We win when the other team plays poorly. That applies to any team we play. Our midfield is outclassed, outpaced and generally outworked in every game. Rooney is going to kick up fuss again fairly soon I reckon. Its just depressing watching united at the moment.
We're really struggling with Newcastle's in your face style and you can tell the Geordie fans are up for this one as well. Rooney especially has got no joy from Coloccini who's played him very well.
Will need a complete turn around in the second half for us to get anything from this game

Doesn't mean it's a penalty, it really did look like a tangle of legs rather than a clear foul.
Strange thing to say when prior to the Blackburn game we'd scored 16 goals in 4 games

I'm in two minds tbh. There was a tangle of legs which was neithers fault so on that basis it's not a pen but had it been at the other end I'd of been screaming
That said they say these things even themselves out over the season and after Newcastle were handed the result at OT they shouldn't really complain.

Indeed, the last one was much more clearly not a penalty than that one was a penalty.
And yet he created our best chance. Rooney's been far worse than Giggs, he's done nothing.

He's been like that all season, occasionally does a great pass (like the one for Rooney) but he's also giving the ball away a lot more than he should.

No your right, we are playing fantastically well this season and always play brilliantly when confronted with a team that is playing well. The top 4 teams in the league don't have to play well to knock 4-5 goals in when the other team doesn't turn up.
Anyone with an ounce of sense can see that united are not playing well and need to strengthen. I assume that because Tottenham haven't stuck in a hatful of goals lately that they are not playing as well as United.
Scorelines don't tell the whole story and the way we went out of the champions league was appalling.
