Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th January - 3rd February 2015]

Bit of a ****house tackle that. Can't imagine it being misjudged that bad he went fully over the ball when clearly winning it and then wrecking him. Hope Swansea player isn't injured, bertrand deserves it :(

Southampton player should've gone down there, was definitely touched by that leg from Swansea player and made him hesitate

20 minutes ago I had 74 points in my works fantasy football and a pizza coming my way tomorrow, please go **** yourself Southampton defenders especially you Burktrand

Southampton have played decent football this season. Only caught the second half but that looked the worst half of football I have seen from them. Looked very flat

They were much better in the first half and it went down the drain in the second.

Good for us, still 3rd.

Could wenger win the league title and/or CL within the next 2 and half years before wenger calls it time?

Only if we're consistent for a season and Chelsea/Man City are both inexplicably terrible at the same time. So no, probably not. No chance in the CL these days - hopefully we should get to the quarters at least this time round.

What are you basing that on? He's been one of the keepers on the rung below Courtois and DDG this season imo.

He's not terrible by any means, just not great. He's made quite a few mistakes already so far this season. Saw 2 today and I barely watched 5 minutes of that game. Though it's hardly surprising coming from the SPL. There was a stat on SSN a while back that said he averaged 1 save per game in a season at Celtic, heh. He's still relativity young so obviously has a lot of room for improvement, and as frustrating as Krul has been in recent years, there's no way I'd take Forster back to be #1. £10m was ridiculous money, too.

Courtois, De Gea, Hart and Lloris are all light years ahead of him.

I wouldn't say light years ahead, but obviously they are better.

Forster is one of the slowest keepers at coming off his line I've seen. Prone to the odd error but he's probably the best keeper we've had at Southampton since shot stopper extraordinaire Niemi!

Meh. One of those days, dominate without threatening then they go and score. Most of the crowd predicted the outcome in the first half.

Tadic was poor and should have been subbed for Mane.
Pelle needs some competition (still no idea when Rodriguez is coming back).
JWP needs a lot of shooting practice.
A lot of fans are unconvinced with Forster (he has a decent defence and midfield in front of him) but he has time on his side.

At least Wanyama, Schneiderlin and Toby will be back soon.

Bad weekend.
