Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th September - 2nd October 2011]

Just seen the replay of the Hibbert tackle on motd (don't think Sky showed 1 replay of it) and he shouldn't have been booked (which he somehow wasn't), he should have been sent off. Terrible tackle.

Not been too happy with all of our summer signings so far but Enrique really does look good. Strong in defence, strong in attack and an excellent cross. No idea how we got him so cheap considering teams like City and Arsenal needed a left back and that's before you even look at the left backs Barcelona and Madrid have. He's not the best in the world, he's not even the best in the league but he's the best we've had in a while.

lol at King Kenny, first thing he moaned about was Adams's sending off against Spurs. He's becoming more and more like Wenger.

Agree, he's been excellent. The only very slight concern is that sometimes he tries to play the ball out of the back at times when it needs clearing.

His press-conferences are usually pretty funny but his post-match interviews can be a bit tedious and sometimes he can be needlesly awkward.

I like him, but in post match interviews he just comes across as a bit of an arse.

A win for Arsenal today would put them 7th and leap frog Spurs. Might just be enough for them to start building on a top 6 finish. I can't seem them placing any higher than 6th.

Pardrew starting to win me over. He seems to have that drive he had at reading and westham. Love the way Pardew is speaking to the press. Wish he stop talking about that stupid line and getting a striker over it.

Fair play to wolves they should have had a point but that kinda of shadowed how good Newcastle was in the first half.

Am enjoying watching Newcastle play good fast quality football. Big names have left but the over all squad is much much stronger.

Watching Suarez on MOTD annoys me so much, he is such a massive ****! Next time people start throwing coins at him I hope one hits him in the eyes...

One thing I noticed is that bias that commentators have towards the actions of players from the big teams as opposed to the little teams. For example: Marc Tierney went down after being lightly clipped in the face and got criticised for it, Suarez goes down identically after being lightly clipped on ankle and no commentator says a word about it...

Still wondering how we(Norwich) didn't get atleast a point from Old Trafford yesterday, was most likely the best opportunity we will have this season to beat a "big 4" team. Yet again our problem was goals, we were linked with several goal scorers but never really got one which will most likely be our downfall.

It's all about Megson!

Wednesday up to fourth in the League, I'm actually just, I don't know how I feel :D

Starting to really make his mark on the side, might not win an award for pretty football but playing very well at times.

Starting?!

He really couldn't have done any more than he is doing in the circumstances!

Obviously Newcastle are in a false position but just keeping them in the league is an achievement.

I agree :) Only 25 points off that magic 40 point mark and thats what we aiming for.

He was labeled Mike Ashley's yes man but he turning that around.

Just hope the Fat controller can keep his greedy mits off the team. Think he already stands to make a tiddy profit this season without Andy transfer fee due to getting ride of all the overpaid players over the past few years.
