Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [31st October - 5th November 2014]

Was he seriously getting oxygen for a dislocated shoulder? lol

Dislocations are horrifically painful

Dislocations CAN be horrifically painful, they can also not be painful, it depends entirely, they can dislocate and end up in a very painful position, pinching a nerve, causing bits to be trapped between bones, or sit pretty loose and not to bad. It's also more than possible to break bones, chip bones or rip tendons when you dislocate. So much of viewing football you get someone who had a relatively similar injury, didn't have pain therefore act like that is the be all and end all and a player is faking pain.

He was quite clearly in pain though and fans who ignore it and have a go at the player are irksome to say the least.

Are UTD going to have any defenders left for the next game?

The real question is, did they have any to begin with ;)

I don't think Fergie got an awful lot wrong in buying Smalling and Jones, both were promising, I think he jumped the gun a little in that both had really only just broken through and early form when you join a team is often good, confidence boost of getting the call and just the right run of games, younger players often being blooded in the easier games.

But both Jones/Smalling/Rafael have proven over the past what 4 years that they are unreliable injury wise and players who can't play consistently are rarely if ever going to play at their best nor improve to be great players. They should have done something about replacing Rio, Vidic, SMalling and Jones over the past 4 years.

The pace difference between city and united is huge.

City cover more ground, attack faster and press in packs. United are disparate and lethargic in comparison.
