It's what Fellaini does, the so called "big men" in the league who are credited with being great on the box both just foul constantly. Crouch barely ever jumps, 95% of headers he wins it's because he's basically using an opposition player as a step ladder much like Fellaini.

You're right about Fellaini but wrong about Crouch. Crouch often has completely innocuous challenges given as fouls because he's so big and awkward.
 
We've just been crap. Ridiculous amount of possession but other than Januazj we have no speed or creativity. Kagawa is playing too deep in order to accommodate Fellaini our new super striker. Carrick has just been poor again, seems content to just pass easy sideways passes that slow our attack down.
 
Unless you're going to use him as a battering ram and nothing else, I can't see any value in having Fellaini on the field, he's dreadful.

Its as if carrick is scared of passing it forwards.

Surely he should pass it to the player who is asking. if its controllable, he has done his job no?
 
I don't think there's anything wrong when a young player can come in and be third best. That's exactly what you want. Hardly a new thing to happen, Owen was probably Liverpools best player when he made his debut season.
 
Fellaini can't even win headers or slot in easy chances. I cannot believe I've sat here for an hour watching us play Fellaini up front. We might as well stick Vidic up front.
