So stupid, clearly tried to take him down, don't think it did take him down, there was no power behind the leg stuck out so Dzeko really just brushed the leg aside then chose to go down. Really a case of player gave the ref the decision to make and Dzeko made that decision exceptionally difficult.
Think in this particular case Dzeko shouldn't have gone down but, stupid by defender either way.
