What, it was actually quite funny, and almost touching for want of a better word, just out of picture was Ade who ran up and saluted them so they saluted back, can't see anything wrong with that in the slightest.

Bit of a shame Kane didn't get that second goal but Ade was right to take it with the ball going so slow and defender so close. He played quite well, most impressive I've seen him, much more forceful and dynamic.

Eriksen is getting better, he's also young and new to the league so will see how he progresses over time, Ajax/dutch football really isn't the big stage any more. He's a lot more dynamic than Ozil, far more willing to take players on and be that runner in the box or around it rather than getting the ball and becoming pretty static and none of the weaknesses playing down the wing. Ozil pretty much flops over if he's forced down the wing, Eriksen drives at a defender.

Spurs themselves haven't really shown up to the big games so hard for an individual to turn up, by 24-25 he needs to be producing similar quality more consistently and against tougher opposition to really be a great player. As it is he's very good, sometimes, with a lot of potential.

there's nothing wrong with that salute/banter at all, especially if the rumour of sherwood being told he has not got the manager/caretaker job at the end of the season. this was massive for him and spurs actually looked pretty good in patches and capitalised on poyet's bonkers tactics.

as rednev said, spurs' season isn't over at all. i'm not sure about arsenals remaining fixtures but our certainly look easier than evertons and if we can put them to bed like we did this evening, 4th is still an outside possibility.

Flanagan pokes the ball under Adrian, the fact that Adrian gets a touch is irrelevant really, he doesn't control the ball... which squirms under his hand, the same hand catches Flanagan's foot. Then Adrian's other hand wraps around Flanagan's ankle to make sure he brings him down. Even if the touch on the ball puts some doubt on the decision, the second grabbing on the ankle is stonewall, regardless of the fact he's just tripped Flanagan whilst getting a touch, the ball is still in play and Flanagan gets the ball back under control. Adrian is attempting to hamper this by grabbing the ankle. Flanagan plays on after that clip and gets the ball to Sturridge.

Flanagan would never have gotten the ball back under control, he was on his way down pretty much the moment he was touched. The "grab" didn't impede him at all. That for me means it's not a pen.

Like I said though, I'm a keeper so I will generally side with the keeper in 50/50 decisions.
