Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5 - 6th October 2013]

I'm sure that's sarcasm, you won't find many people who thought Hodson was the right fit.

Aye, its more aimed at a member who I haven't seen in a long time, saying we were hounding Hodgson out from the moment we got him and didn't give him time :)

Theoretical question. Do you think RVP will be content having jumped ship to get that Prem title he craved, to play for this side (based on current performances) for his remaining few years as a striker?

I don't think he will mind whilst picking up the dolla and feeling like the main man

He's the type of player that wants to win things, i dont think he would be happy but im not sure if he would be the guy to force a move.

Dont be surprised if he does;), he forced a move out of Arsenal in the end. Granted he was in his last year of his contract, had no faith in Wenger and left to get his PL title. Which i hope keeps him warm at night lol.

I'm sure Arsenal will put a sympathy bid in when the January window opens if RVP wants to keep playing CL football.

Nope, can't see RVP sticking with Utd if they suck all year and stand by Moyes he'll be looking for a move to Real or Barca, maybe Dortmund. He didn't go abroad I think not because of money but because for 8+ years he tried to win the EPL and wanted to win it before leaving. He's won it, winning another one wouldn't suck but at his age, getting a move to another big team and winning another title would likely mean more.

It's a shame, he'd have scored so many more and won so much more if Wenger hadn't been a douche for the past 6-7 years, I think like at Utd he'd have been far less injured anywhere else. He can't really afford to pee around in a team rebuilding for the next 5 years.

What a save De Gea

Sunderland are pressing so well!

If you did that at Old Trafford you got a result, if you didn't and played scared(see Liverpool and most other clubs in a season) you handed them a win. Hopefully that fear will start to disappear.
