Tbh Mert as much as i like him is a liability due to his size and his slowness but he has made some pretty decent tackles and i remember him clearing a ball off the line against Spurs i think earlier this season.

Hmm, I'd probably go along with that at the moment. But then there is a bit of a shortage...no centre backs are exactly covering themselves in glory right now. Chris Smalling is probably up there for his recent performances and he's not exactly top class (yet).
 
yes but when you've got the rb and lb spurs have, vert is kind of like a child minder looking after kids.

he's an immense player best cb in the league.

Yep it's the same reason why people ever rated Walker in the first place as well - because he scored a good goal against Arsenal :o
