Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th April 2012]

Gerrard mentioned paitence how can he expect supporters to be paitent with this ? He hasnt looked that fussed so far he isnt even shouting to his team mates trying to motivate them

why's he using the word patience at this stage of the season, is he effectively saying this season is a write off and be thankful for the cup? the league cup looks like it could save kenny's skin.

I genuinely pity Liverpool now. It was hilarious when they were losing to Wigan etc. but losing to this Aston Villa team, at home, is beyond ridicule. This is beyond humiliation, this is sickening.

You can't lose to this Villa side. They are so abject it's time to pack up and leave it if you lose. Kenny has to walk if they lose this.

Way we are at the moment every one has given up, I think half of them have settled for the cup and in fairness whilst we won that we didnt win it well

Correct me if im wrong but are we not form wise actually in the bottom of the table? Stat just read we have had 65% possession for that we have mastered side ways passing.

Are you a Liverpool fan? Form wise you're second bottom, only Wolves below you. Haven't you lost 6 out of 7 games?

Dempsey on fire this season! Happy to see him carrying the form on right until the end. Always liked the big man

Yes i support liverpool, So far if we lose this game though be 7 out of last 8 :( Kuyt just missed a sitter

I said a few posts above, but Kenny has to walk after today, if only to save a little pride. If you can't beat Villa at home there's a real chance you won't win another game this season.

i'm not trying to bash liverpool here (again) especially after how the wheels have fallen off at spurs but i had actually forgotten until i read an article on liverpool in thursday's telegraph, that they didn't win it well, i'd forgotten it actually took penalties (and i'd forgotten adam's sky rocket).

still, i think the fans needed it and it could be dalglish's saviour. apparently the owners want an indepth report onto what they are classing as 'failings'. i know i'm sounding like i'm bashing here but where do the failings lie? if it's key signings underperforming, who's fault is that? surely they must be looking at the chelsea management farce and wondering or even confirming that dalglish is not a long term answer.

still, another 45 to go and we are talking villa here.

I don't think Liverpool's owners will see two domestic cups as successful with such terrible league performance, at the end of the day Champions League qualification is where the big money and prestige is. Kenny might think two cups is enough but I'm sure the owners would rather have Champions League qualification year after year and win nothing.

Another horrific performance.

The defence is playing too deep, solely to accommodate Carragher who shouldn't be playing first team football anymore, the midfielders are playing too far up the pitch meaning there's space for Villa to play in behind them and the wings have been anonymous yet again. The players look like they don't care, there's little direction to our play and no leadership on or off the pitch.

We've now got to look forward to a half time team talk which has actually resulted in us playing worse in the second half of recent games.
