Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th April 2012]

The Liverpool owners said they expected top 4/would be very disappointed not to get it. If you end up in 10th/12th then that's so far below expectations it's unbelievable

i'm not trying to bash liverpool here (again) especially after how the wheels have fallen off at spurs but i had actually forgotten until i read an article on liverpool in thursday's telegraph, that they didn't win it well, i'd forgotten it actually took penalties (and i'd forgotten adam's sky rocket).

still, i think the fans needed it and it could be dalglish's saviour. apparently the owners want an indepth report onto what they are classing as 'failings'. i know i'm sounding like i'm bashing here but where do the failings lie? if it's key signings underperforming, who's fault is that? surely they must be looking at the chelsea management farce and wondering or even confirming that dalglish is not a long term answer.

still, another 45 to go and we are talking villa here.

Bashing what? We all know everything is **** from the signings, coaching and management and player performances, or well mostly.

Could have 2 goals at least with one stonewall penalty, Kuyt miss and from the big screen in the pub it looked over the line early in the game.

Nice finish from Villas scorer.

I said a few posts above, but Kenny has to walk after today, if only to save a little pride. If you can't beat Villa at home there's a real chance you won't win another game this season.

I agree KD should walk tbh but i just cant see it happening least not till summer but be too late by then

Tbh i think the signings are spotted by Comoli but even so KD would have a say in it and i dont think any of them were better than what we had,Meriilies/Aqualiani were better but we let both of them go.

KD was and should have only been a short term fix which he was never imo a long term solution that being said since the start he subs the wrong players, plays them out of positions excluding today Hendo has mainly been shoved to the right.

Today we have been short in every department not one player looks intrested or seems to have any belif we can do anything, Gerrard is our captain 9 times out of 10 he is yelling etc trying to motivate them he isnt even doing that

In November Lucas had made the highest number of tackles/interceptions of any player in the Premiership. We're now in April and he's still made the highest number of tackles/interceptions of any player in the Liverpool squad :o

That i can believe he is imo the best defensive midfielder in the league, just wish he was playing now!
