Brentford good goals, still gifted Johno quick a goal/assist...

Except, had West Ham not signed him we wouldn't have got promoted. By far our most valuable player in the second half of last season. 1 goal and a couple of assists in his first 6 games this season. So bad he's keeping Yossi Benayoun out of the team at the moment. Yep, he's a terrible footballer.

Oh I know Vaz Te's goal record towards the end of last season, still think he's terrible. Valentines day was dominated with him falling over under no pressure at all, should have been sent off for how many times it happened.

He scores but no one catches up with how little he brings to the team and how generally poor he is (his record at Bolton sums it up...)

Chelsea were good but Norwich were also very, very poor. Look at Hazard's goal for example. Yes Mata's pass was very impressive but the Norwich players for some reason decided to form a back 5 and allow him to run at them and he had the quality to pick the pass.

Norwich still have the same problems, creating plenty of chances and not taking them and then being very fragile at the back. Last season we took enough chances that it didn't matter how many we conceded but this season we are conceding more and scoring less.

It's going to be a tough year.

Snoddy back where he belongs, the Championship :D

Do explain.

As above.

He deliberately left his foot in to kick the keeper in the head. Too bad he didn't realise he was messing with Don Vito of the Mannone family.

Wouldn't be surprised to be honest. Hughton is stuck in the Championship mentality where big, tough tackling players like Barnett and Johnson are more important than skillful players such as Hoolahan and Snodgrass.

Hoolahan is our only premiership quality player and Holt, Howson and Snodgrass are probably the closest players in our squad to that level. The problem is that Hughton won't play them 4 in the same team and instead goes for Johnson because he is seen as a "tough guy". You don't want hard tacklers in the premier league, you need skillful players who can find the right passes. Howson, Hoolahan, Fox, Snodgrass and perhaps Pilkington would be out best midfield yet Hoolahan and Pilkington are regularly left on the bench and Fox(probably the best passer of the ball we have) doesn't even get on the bench!

Ohh well, atleast if we do get relegated we will probably do quite well in the Championship because of all the championship quality players in our squad and because our manager only knows how to play like a championship team..

That problem isn't unique to Hughton though.

That kind of attitude has been the down fall of many a manager at the top level, quite often one more than one occasion as well.

How was John Terry able to play yesterday, I thought he was banned?

Not yet:

"The independent regulatory commission will provide written reasons for its decision in due course. Mr Terry has the right to appeal the decision of the independent regulatory commission to an Appeal Board. An appeal must be lodged within 14 days from receipt of the written reasons for the decision.

"The penalty is suspended until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Terry decide not to appeal. The reason for this is to ensure that the penalty does not take effect before any appeal so that Mr Terry has an effective right of appeal."

The clock started ticking on the 5th when the report was published.

Can't wait for Giggs and Scholes to get a roasting this afternoon.

I'm pretty sure that if Giggs is starting I will refuse to watch the game. I am getting pretty sick of Fergie picking horrendous, imbalanced teams to play against good opposition.

Pretty happy we picked up 3 pts yesterday against West Ham, nice to see Giroud get another goal to his tally although he still needs to score a few more goals before i start warming up to him.

Was a good all round performance i thought although defensively it looks like the same age old problems are starting to creep in. But i wont go on about that as im sure DM, our so called Arsenal supporter has plenty to say on that i imagine and i really cant be bothered to read his wall of text anymore:p.

Anyhow onwards and upwards:D

Downing has apparently hit back at Rodgers for questioning his commitment and effort by saying he's disappointed but there's not much he can do about it :o

His attitude is absolutely appalling and had this been any other line of work he would've been sacked for underperforming. Sooner the bottler leaves the club the better.

http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/s...ning-upset-by-rodgers-criticism-16220829.html

He appears to be quite deluded. He would've preferred Rodgers to speak to him in private but then goes on to say they've had a few conversations which obviously didn't get the desired effect.

Had Downing said he was disappointed but will try harder there wouldn't be a problem but to say there's nothing he can do fully vindicates Rodgers decision to use the media as he did. He's not up to for the fight to win back his place and wants an easy ride. Can't see him lasting any longer than January and I think we'll take whatever hit we need to get rid of him now.

Liverpool team the same as it was against Norwich.

Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Allen, Gerrard, Sahin, Suso, Sterling, Suarez.

Subs: Jones, Henderson, Cole, Assaidi, Coates, Borini, Carragher.

Downing's been dropped completely and Owen's injured and not on the bench for Stoke :o
