Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th May 2016]

It's a win/win for most people - Utd don't win and they miss out on the CL, Utd win and LvG gets another year.

This is pretty much it. It seems like they are waiting or have been waiting to use a get out clause like they did with Moyes. I honestly can't see them not beating City to top 4 now. It will be hilarious if the board are that stupid they they don't pay whatever it takes to get rid of him if this fourth secures his job.

I was only messing around. Who knows what the situation is - they might sack him regardless but are waiting, hoping they don't have to pay him off and or it's simply just easier to do it at the end of the season.

Amazing little Burton Albion.

2nd tier of English football, from non-non league... never a league club till 2009.

Average crowd around 4000. Amazing achievement, same division as the likes of villa, forest, leeds ect...

Villa to beat Arsenal away on the last day and Arsenal to miss out on 4th. How good would Arsenal fan TV be?!

Don't even go there Baz. I think certain members of this forum would explode. :p

i hope that happens so that arsenal sack wenger

Well at least we now know that if Arsenal win something next season, youre not allowed to celebrate.

On my way back from the match and I must admit, surprised at no infighting amongst the fans or any ****ging players off. Atmosphere was very flat though.

The chicken balti pies are nice

Thats because away fans that travel frequently actually understand football a bit better than your average home punter.

Yeah happy with that.

Lol look even if we got relegated Arsenal still won't sack Wenger. God knows why you think or any others think that Wenger would be sacked. He has another yr left on his contract and at the very least he will see that out. But him getting the sack?? That ain't happening anytime soon.

Only good thing to come out of yesterday's result was that Spurs lost lol. I didn't think yesterday we at any point looked likely to win. God knows how we managed to get a point because city should have won that. And unsurprisingly Le donkey managed to score after such a long time haha, guess when the pressure is off he somehow finds a way to score.

In all seriousness I can't be too disappointed with the draw yesterday. Would have been nice to get all 3 pts. But now all we need to do is beat Villa and hope Spurs lose to Newcastle next week. That would be probably the only thing worth celebrating this season I suppose lol.
