Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th May 2016]

The match or the after party? Gotta be honest, I enjoyed the match then switched off at full time. I respect Gold and Sullivan for what they took on and what they've got now, but I don't like them.

Both. I can understand the fans wanting to get on the pitch after but it would have been a complete nightmare getting everyone off for the show..

Expecting a crowd invasion at some point but I gave up when the taxis arrived. Bet the crowd just wanted a ride home at that moment.

I was so annoyed watching the match last night. From the team bus getting smashed up to the final whistle. I think i posted and used the words 'I hope United turn up'. Funnily enough, one player did. Martial.

****ing thugs, and I so hoped we could **** off their **** stadium that they so dearly love by smashing them up once more. The entire team was terrible last night, Blind was atrocious, Schneiderlin again poor, and even De Gea wasn't up to what we've come to expect.

I will happily concede that West Ham were the better team, without a shadow of a doubt but i'm still pretty enraged about the entire thing to be honest. I was watching the match with 3 West Ham Fans, sorry, no. A West fan, a Spurs fan, and a Middlesbrough fan (all of whom were WH fans for the night). I said at 1-2, if they score in the next 5 minutes we're ****ed. and Oh look, within 1 minute or so (i think i said it while we were waiting for the free-kick to be taken) we concede.

So, in conclusion. **** you West Ham, **** your thugs, **** your **** stadium, **** you LVG, **** the player that didn't turn up last night in a must-win game, just **** everyone :p

Except you Martial, you can stay.

Finally, how does the chant go? Is it 'Thursday Night, channel Five'. ****ing Europa league, unbelievable.

MU really in control?! What game were you watching?

At that point we looked like the only team likely to score, but it all changed too quickly with the pathetically given away free kicks

Even the commentary, that appeared to be Pro WHU most of the night, said for a couple of minutes before WH scored their second they looked beaten

You got the 2nd, and it changed completely (where the free kick was saved, but you scored from the **** clearance)

LvG is always bemoaning missed opportunities, external factors (the bus getting attacked which didn't seem to bother anyone on the bus) etc. The truth is that the single largest factor in whether we win or lose is the quality and desire of our opposition. If any team in the league plays remotely well, is clinical in front of goal or works hard, we struggle.

He will sit there and say that we didn't win because we didn't take our chances. He will say this after Martial has scored a wonderful individual goal and we have had 2 shots on target to the oppositions 20. I can't think of any other side that has been as consistently dull, poor and devoid of ideas in pretty much every match. Even the teams that are getting relegated had their good days.

It's not over yet, Swansea are far from an easy task at the moment. Wouldn't be that surprised to see them get a win against City.

City lose, United draw at home to Bournemouth :p

I could maybe see them drawing (which is why a point wouldn't have been terrible for Utd yesterday) but not losing. City know everything rests on this game and usually when it matters they turn up and perform, it's the games in between where they can't be ****ed.

That point being when you were 2-1 up? It was all of 4 minutes between Utd taking the lead and West Ham leveling. I'll be honest, I can't remember exactly how those 4 minutes went but I think you need to hold out a bit more than 4 minutes to suggest Utd were in control.

For nearly the entire game West Ham were the better side and constantly troubled Utd. Utd were lucky the game wasn't over mid way through the first half.

Last night's game was so frustrating. West Ham's players turned up with far more intensity and desire, which is inexcusable really. I don't care how much history a stadium has, the closing of a stadium should not make you more pumped up to win than a potential CL place. I know WH were playing for a Europa league place too, but mostly it was the final match at that stadium that had them pumped up I believe. United's players just couldn't match the levels of intensity and desire shown by WH and couldn't cope with set pieces.

The amount of stupid free kicks United gave away was criminal. West Ham played well but from open play I didn't think we were in too much danger after going 2-1 up. Then we gave them loads of free kicks and with someone as good as Payet over them he's bound to make you pay. Frankly LvG has to go even if we somehow miraculously fluke a CL spot and win the FA cup.
