Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [7th - 11th May 2016]

Bah, Colback. Should've scored.

Pretty turgid game so far, hopefully our traditional second half improvement will come.

LOL 0-3 Swansea.

West Ham absolutely bottled it.

Barrow for Swansea is absolutely ripping them a new one down the left.

Who was the last game against, I remember last week talking about Newcastle having only 2 games to others 3 but as one was against Villa it was basically 3 points.... this was obviously their best chance to pick up points they needed.

West Ham have had a few good chances, can't believe how the goal went in, two brilliant saves from Fabianski before it got bundled in.

Sunderland, wow, Defoe, no idea how he ended up playing in the MLS. Every time anyone actually played the guy he scores a load. His interplay is under rated, his movement is brilliant, his finishing is great. 15 goals... with a truly awful Sunderland and he spends ages of every game completely isolated.

Toon have Spurs last game. Tough game but it's at home and doubt Spurs will be particularly interested.

Of Course Sunderland have Everton midweek, if they win that one Newcastle are sunk regardless if they don't win today.

That sounds family, both Norwich and Sunderland have Watford and Everton for the last two games.

Spurs is an odd one, they were lucky to only lose Dembele to bans though Alli was already missing. Will they continue to go into meltdown or now the pressure is off and/or due to the ridiculous way they reacted in the Chelsea game will they sit down, think about it and sort themselves out.

If they go mental against Southampton again then Newcastle have a chance. If they get their **** together and smash Southampton I doubt Newcastle have a chance.

This chelsea side, wrestles a point from one of the best teams in the league currently, then throws a game to a relegation battling side the next week. Bizarre.

They are an absolute disgrace, I've never seen such a useless bunch of individuals playing as a "team". I'm just lost for words.

Honestly I would say that the pressure of the title lost Spurs those points rather than Chelsea taking them, but even then this isn't that bizarre.

Drawing Spurs and losing to Sunderland doesn't even appear on the scale of bizarre compared to the first half of the season for Chelsea. There still isn't close to a sensible explanation for what happened up till Mourinho got fired nor their complete u-turn in form once that happened.
