I thought AOC had a really game![]()
Yup, me too, I thought what about 25-26 players out there had a really game

Key things for me, West brom were poor, outside of the penalty(which he tried to make a meal of and for me wasn't really a foul from him just before), he crossed back from Wilshires ball rather than shooting, he did several poor crosses/passes into the box and that one god awful miles and miles high and wide cross that may well have just been his attempt to make Gervinho look less ****.
AOC is a lot of energy, a lot of running, occasionally beating a man.... but ultimately not a lot else. Now, in the first 5 games he both looked to have more final product, more accurate passing/crossing, but he also had that "look at that energy and drive, good idea's, give him time to add end product and he'll be great" feel to his play.... but over an extra year he's added very little end product to that game leaving him much like Gervinho/Joe Cole/dozen's of others. He can run rings around players with pace, energy and strength, but he's making poor choices at the end of such runs and producing very little.
He still looks MILES better than the likes of Walcott, where as Theo can't (outside of blue moons) take the ball from the half way line to the box himself, AOC can, and if he can just get some shots on target, the odd goal and a cross to someone who can score he could still turn into a really quite handy player. But the longer and longer you go not being able to get the final bit right, the less hope I have he can take that potential and turn it into a solid player. Frankly, there is a point where looking close to being good, just isn't enough and being actually good is required.
