Decent performance against a much improved Everton but a shocking result. They offered absolutely nothing going forward and were gifted a chance to draw level. Mane really let us down today but one off game every few months won't take away from his usual high quality of football for us.

Klopp's going to come under fire for his selection but I don't have any problem with it given the amount of games we've got to play in the coming weeks.

Edit: Congratulations for another cup final victory Everton.
 
Calvert Lewin has form for diving, he got Walker sent off earlier in the season. Hopefully he gets banned this time.

We didn't play well today. We kept getting into positions to create chances but it showed that the front line has never played together - there was no fluidity to our play and everything was stop-start. Mane in particular wasn't at it today and I can't for the live of me understand why he didn't come off instead of Salah earlier in the game.

Problem at Liverpool seems to span over the past number of managers, can't win games that should be over comfortably in the first half.
 
Soft or not it was a penalty and yet again it's by our defender r who has mostly put in crap performance since joining us.

We did deserve to win but **** me big Sam said as much he would use the not playing tactic.

Salah could have done with staying on however players we had were still good enough, if anything mane should have passed instead of shooting when we had two through with no one marking them.

You can blame the referees or realise nearly every successful club has had poor decisions against them over the course of a winning season. A better defender would have the wits about him to not leave it down to the ref in that situation 9 times out of 10, Lovrens head has been gone since his wife went back to Croatia for that tree surgeon.

Lovren has plenty to be blamed for throughout his time here but he did nothing wrong today (defensively)

Of course, we benefit from them routinely (stoke and Moscow) but that doesn’t make it ‘even itself out’. Refereeing decisions shouldn’t be a factor and Liverpool did enough to stay 1-0 ahead at that time.

Someone adjusting to make contact with you isn’t something you should be aware of other than laughing at them as they fall, if anything Lovrens path has been impeded.
 
We are crap, it shouldn’t have come down to a soft penalty. So much bitterness when the reality is you couldn’t put to bed an absolutely terrible Everton team. I get it though, you have to get to top 4 at any cost this year or you will lose players. I just don’t see that happening. Not with Klopp.

That's a lot of rubbish. A better defender would have backed off and allowed Calvert Lewin to control the ball, turn and get a shot off?
