Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9 - 17th February 2013]

Game over, 5-0 to the mighty reds. Dominated from start to finish, even with 10men for the last 10mins or so. Only negative, was Borini's injury. Hopefully he will be back soon! Onwards and Upwards! OOSSH!

Not really sure what to make of today's game. We looked threatening every time we attacked but Swansea weren't up to much. We tried our best to make it hard work in the first half by missing chance after chance but thankfully we killed the game off within 30 secs of the 2nd half.
There probably won't be a MOTD tonight. All the other games were FACup and the BBC don't have highlight rights.

Espn goals app will have the goals.

We're definitely first, its the only game on :p

Good to see Pigeon's getting the credit he deserves :p

he was joking guys ;)

liverpool were outstanding today.
coutinho with his first goal and looked good.

sturridge showing once again he is a great buy.
hopefully we can push on now for the next few games and get plenty of points.

That doesn't bode well for him, dislocated shoulders typically take 4-6 weeks to recover from so it must be a break.

If I was called Fabio I'd avoid Liverpool tbh.

Will Swansea get into trouble with the FA for fielding a weakened team (7 changes)? not that I agree with it but to be consistent Wolves did get fined for it, those three points somewhat gifted to Liverpool could knock another team out of European qualification come the end of the season.

I know its controversal around these parts but sturridge still looks like the player that left chelsea, loads of good work until the final product is required. So many chances in the game but still failed to get a decent final connection on the ball.

Anyway 'pool look good and any talk of Rogers out in the papers is obviously journo's trying to make a story. I have enjoyed watching them more than Chelsea though i guess Rogers could make a good interim manager at chelsea until Pep joins.

The Cryuff flick, when I was playing for England, Liverpool haven't scored enough this season (more than last season with 11 games remaining)...

I hope the BBC aren't paying him for this garbage. Having said that, Stoke have been paying him all season and he's appeared on Match of the Day 2 more than he's played for them.

I wouldn't worry about it Liverpool will go and lose to Wigan now ;)

It did seem like a good performance yesterday no matter the opposition. Anfield needs to beco e a fortress like it once was. Sturridge is getting in the right positions, and his all round contribution is great. He just needs that bit of luck and he will score more, some of his shots were spot on, just unlucky. We have a strike partnership to be proud of for the first time in ages.
