7 changes probably isn't enough for an FA wrist-slap. It's not like, say, Blackpool/Holloway's full team swap against Villa a couple of seasons ago [which he was perfectly entitled to do, in my opinion. What else is a named squad for?!]Will Swansea get into trouble with the FA for fielding a weakened team (7 changes)? not that I agree with it but to be consistent Wolves did get fined for it, those three points somewhat gifted to Liverpool could knock another team out of European qualification come the end of the season.
Having said that, I wouldn't have classed it as a weakened team anyway. Sure, it was a weakER team than one with Michu, Ash and Rangel in, but the players that came in - with the exception of new signing Lamah - had all held their end up in previous matches.
Vorm played, as did Ben Davies, Little Leon, de Guzman and Hot-Cold Scarface Hernandez. First team regulars making up nearly 50%. Yeah, Schecter - the only player to remind me of those narcoleptic goats - was also on the field, but we've won games with him in the side before [somehow].
Ultimately, we were as bad as Liverpool were good. And boy, did they make effective use of the acres of midfield space we gave them. Suarez and Sturridge have clicked mightily; keep hold of those two over the summer and the Reds are going to win something next year.
Anyway, roll on this weekend
