Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 15th December 2016]

Can't say they haven't deserved that goal, Arsenal haven't offered much this half other than a 5 min spell of pressure.

Still time to get something out the game though
 
It's the classic Wenger "I don't know what to do so just put all the strikers on" formation.

Could still work but, the team look a bit clueless. They took the lead and have basically been shut down since then. Somewhat classic Arsenal, we go on a run then at some point start getting arrogant, get a goal and think we don't have to play any more then let the opposition completely back in the game.

EDIT:- bit of classic Barkley as well, gets into a great position and gets selfish and takes a rubbish shot rather than making a good cross/pass or holding it up.

holy ****, red card, then how the hell did that not go in for Arsenal then frankly how did Everton not score at the other end.

If Lukaku and whoever passed it next didn't make such slow weak passes they'd have had an easy finish.
 
Ok Ok, bad game with awful lazy passing but, was fun to see Cech up in the other half for a couple of mins :P As long as thats the only dropped points over xmas and new year then it shouldnt be too bad.
 
Ffs another Koeman job on us, even when he was at Soton Wenger still couldn't beat him.

lol I had a feeling we would lose tonight, **** defence without Mustafi, here comes the yearly December downward spiral where we lose easy games and drop points.

Wishful thinking, we always drop points around this time of the year. Doesn't help that we haven't got for the next 4 weeks or so. I mean playing Gabriel or Holding doesn't inspire confidence in our defence. Might as well stick BFG back in lol.
 
Arsenal have a decent run of games after the City one on Sunday (WBA H, Palace H, Bournemouth A, Swansea A, Burnley H, Watford H).

I still wouldn't write them off even if they don't beat City.

everyone has 7 days off though dont they without any fixtures (18th - 26th ) so at least players should get a bit of rest
 
Mignolet is reportedly set to start tonight. I said when Karius came into the side that it was a big call for Klopp to make because as much as Mignolet needed replacing he actually started this season really well.
