I think asking Baz to say United played really good football is pushing it tbh, that's about as good as you'll get

There were plenty of good passing moves, and there were plenty of times I wish they would have pulled the trigger instead of trying to play like Arsenal but I thought it was very decent overall.

If it can improve a lot more then well, all the better.

Not at all. It was an exciting game because of the amount of mistakes rather than the quality of the football. Was there another time other than Utd's 2nd goal where either side opened the other up from a good passing move rather than a mistake at the back?

I said Utd were the better side and the scoreline flattered City but I didn't think it was a great game of football.

edit: Is Rafael going to lift the Shield?

To be fair to Baz, he's used to the Brazilian-esque style football Liverpool have been playing preseason. Todays match obviously a notch or two down from the fine displays against Valerenga and Hull.

A lot of promise in this young team, Nani again showing why we should never ever ever consider or contemplate selling him.

Fair play to United they played better than us. However, I sense there is a lot more to come from City this season whereas United won't be repeating that level of peformance more than two or three times during the year

We have to remember that we were against Man City too, the most defensive of all defensive teams. It's not like it's a walk in the park to get through their back line.

And without Tevez, City will never play better than they did today, and that's nowhere near good enough.

Utd fans are touchy aren't they? You fail to praise Utd and you get accused of being anti-Utd or a troll yet half the posts in this thread are from Utd fans laying into City

But you're right, I do have higher standards than you
