Greta Thunberg

Even though I love Greta for how she can wind up middle aged men by pulling a face, she would hate me.
I don't even know what our 3 bins are for, my wife keeps going to them to swap stuff over I've thrown in the wrong bin.
I have no intention of doing anything that Greta wants but I still love her.
Why do you keep repeating this like you’re proud of it? Why wouldn’t you recycle? It’s not hard. Why wouldn’t you not flush wet wipes which can cause fatbergs and knock out the sewers for your neighbours?
It seems strange that you’re so proud of not doing something that takes no effort but has a positive effect. Why?

I did, literally nothing came up about her getting 18 million from The Venus Project

It's very easy as I posted.

Look at the companies she has been in charge and what they do.
She is taking you lot for mugs. Which is not hard.

She has been at this since 1975"Venus project"
All the books and films she has brought out under the "Venus project" has made her £18-19 million
Her friend in the same project "Jacque Fresco" since 1975 is also worth £6 million.

But they tell people to do the opposite of them.
In fact Fresco pulled the wool over peoples eyes once before when he started as a psychological consultant.
Then they found out he was a crook. So he stopped it.

As with anything. It's all about the money.

That's your source?

Let assume that is true. Do you think this person has 18 million sitting in a personal bank account?

If she is founder of a worldwide charity project that has over time bought buildings, equipment etc it's probably the assets of the project.

because I'm not interested and my wet wipes say flushable on them.

It would be great if it was that simple. The fact is the council used to do it but is offloading the cost of it onto the resident whilst still putting up council tax. I would quite happily recycle if it meant we got our lights back on at night.

I have 4 bins now. Our plastic one takes two months to fill as we hardly eat processed food. We have a decent size house but even still it is awkward to store all these bins.

You clearly are, you’ve stated, with pride, that you won’t recycle twice so you’re clearly interested. I’m asking why you have such a refusal to recycle. It’s bizarre.

I'm not bothered, there are more important things to be bothered about than putting a coke can in the correct bin.
You be a warrior, I'll be a pleb.

The green movement would be a lot more credible, as a whole, if they were not so prone to flagrantly lying.

Not increasing taxes, to whatever stratospheric level some lobby group or think tank says they should set at, is not, has never been and should never be considered a government 'subsidy' as even a casual examination of that article shows that's what they are actually talking about for a lot of the headline figure.

Subsidy explicitly means a sum of money granted by the state or a public body to help an industry or business keep the price of a commodity or service low.

It does not mean the government not increasing tax rates.

By this lunacy you might consider anything less than a 100% tax rates as a 'subsidy'!

Yes, you have to consider the hidden costs which lie in the consequences of your actions or inactions.

Who is going to pay for the ever worse extreme weather events?
Italy? Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg?

Italy: 29 inches of rain in 12 hours sets new European record as extreme weather lashes country | World News | Sky News

Scientists have warned these kind of heavy rainstorms are being fuelled by climate change, with the World Weather Attribution group saying such extreme rainfall events are now between 1.2 and 9 times more likely to happen because of global warming.

Not about being a warrior, or a pleb. It’s about doing something so simple that if more people did then it would have a great benefit.
Plus the fact you’re bragging about actively not recycling is just bizarre, selfish even.

you’re using the same argument that people use to justify littering, do you do that as well?

Yes, you have to consider the hidden costs which lie in the consequences of your actions or inactions.

You should also consider the not always so apparent benefits of actions like our current and past usage of fossil fuels.

Trying to quickly cut out fossil fuel usage or heavily taxing it above current rates on a global scale with current technology and levels of development will kill millions if not billions of people rather quickly....

which is something a lot of people tend to forget or gloss over

I don't understand what exactly you pretend.

There is absolutely no technological barriers or problems in building new nuclear power plants and large wind turbines parks / solar panel installations.

The problem is in you that you refuse to invest in the new, and stop all the old dirty crap, aka coal, oil and natural gas..

?? Are you mentally deficient? I’m talking about recycling and wipes. It’s well known that despite saying flushable, it’s best not to flush the wet wipes.

Easy there drama queen. The other poster clearly stated the wipes were flushable which either you missed or ignored on purpose. flushable wipes break down....
