GRID Autosport

Just got an email from Simply, to say my 'Order Declined' something about my delivery address. I've checked it and it's fine, I also paid with Paypal, so don't know why that's happened. GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Has anyone else had this problem?
 
No problems here with simply/PayPal

Is it your first order with them / that card? Can be an issue if delivery address and billing address (where the cards registered to) differ

Yes it's my first order with them, but I paid with Paypal not a card. I checked my address with them and it's definitely correct, so I don't know what the score is. I think I'll have to ring them at 9am to find out. Has anyone got their key yet?
 
Just been on the phone to SimplyCDkeys and apparently it was a problem at their end, so wasn't anything I'd entered incorrectly (which is a relief), the guy on the phone processed my payment manually, and said I should receive my key in the next 24hrs or so. Oh Yeah. VVVRRRRRRRRUUUUUMMM VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVRRRUMMMMMMM (car revving, lol)
 
The response of the game seems fairly positive so far reading a few different forums. Looks like the AI is taking some time to get used to as they will actually hold their line so you have to overtake in the right places.

I should have my copy on Friday so I can give it a proper go!
 
From what I've heard, it's a lot harder than Grid 2, less of an arcade feel. I always thought it was a bit pants you could brake unrealistically late, then drift round the corner. I look forward to it!

Haha that was the secret to how we came top placed in that comp we did when Grid 2 first came out, late braking straight into a drift in the NSX :D :D, Speaking of competition, wonder if OcUK is gonna host another one.
 
Just waiting on this game too I was even thinking of getting GRID Race Driver if it's good tooo as I've only played GRID 2 and 5-10% through it and I get a CORRUPT DATA error and cannot resume, hopefully I can fix that without restarting from scratch and repairing with hacks/cheats (get back to my level again)

What's new in Grid Autosport? I need to get cockpit view sorted on these GRIDs too. I play on a G27 with H shifting-stickbox-a-thingathon so that means a lot too. Do you think the game is SIMulating? and the handling is realistic would you'se say? I am new to racing games and simulaters, Racing games are good fun, but racing simulators now they're a way of life

GRID (bit of both)
 
Also how's the best way to drift? clutch drift - still figuring out the timing on them. Do most of these games natively support clutch driving/drifting properly and not just digitally prevent you driving when in? I mean does it have emotion to it? are there feelings of love too? And they support heel/toeing too? (ie, the engines RPM benefits like in R/L)
 
Last time I was in the driving seat of a car everything in the cabin didn't look like I struck my eyeballs to f/1.8.

Lame.
 
Supposedly the reason for it is they weren't going to have cockpit but it was put in at the last minute so they didn't have any textures done, hence the awful blurry cam.

Whether they release a patch later remains to be seen but i doubt it.

I'll just play bonnet cam.
 
Cockpit is awful, but game is very good. Play on very hard and set the race length to max and it's a very solid racing game.
