That is a very good price!

No doubt I'll be getting it. I know the guys have worked at tweaking every aspect for the game and have truly been listening to what the audience wanted. They have struggled to achieve everything due to time constraints and resources but they have done a mighty fine job thus far. Plus the amount of content they have managed to get in the game in the short period of time is very impressive.

From the very little amount I've played of it, it reminded me so much of the Toca games, maybe not a 1:1 but the feel, atmosphere and aggressive AI all brought back memories of the Toca days. The cars can slide but you don't want them to as it slows you down a fair amount.
 
I quite enjoyed grid2 :D flinging my RS5 sideways around corners....and the same with the honda civic FWD..... :p

couldn't drift to save my bacon though :p and tbh..... every online race had at least one **** who would just smash everyone or be a **** in the touge races.... i.e. brake checking so you hit them and get disqualified....

might have to pick this up :) (hopes for more audis to drive xD ..... and nurburgring ;) )
 
im 50/50

some of the tracks in grid 2 were great fun but that ramming :D

one thing i always liked though with codemasters is the handling on proper wheels always works. so no hrs of tweaking.
 
Yeah, there are so many wheels in the office and each one is tweaked and tested with each car which as you can imagine is hours of work, the handling is also tweaked in some cases for certain wheels to make best use of the FFB, usually the more expensive wheels.

I think multiplayer may still have the ramming in but there isn't all that much you can do about that, but it is far easier to recover on circuit base tracks in touring cars etc, where as in the touge races you were usually screwed by someone hitting you off the track :p
 
as i seen in preview races can be extended to x5 so that would work out 10 max or 15 max laps depends on what is standard , maybe there be option for full length to, not sure.

hopefully it will be extension of grid 1 , not grid 2 as first one was epic .
 
I'm really looking forward to this. Even though Grid 2 wasnt a good Grid game, it was still a good game in its own right. Hopefully this will bring the best bits of both into one package

They've stopped online play now.

That was a fun online game with close racing.

Hopefully they go back down that road!
 
I'm not actually sure what you are saying. The price at £16.99 is almost half the price of steam, if I look at Grid 2 on the same web site that is more expensive. I don't see this price coming down from here for some time but I do expect it to go back to +£20. But could be wrong. Either way £16.99 is a good price in my view sale or not.
