GRiD demo- How to use PS2 controller-adapter with it?

Go into controls and remap everything.

Remember to press whatever key it is to start customising, ctrl I think.

You must hit the control key on keyboard then map using arrows and enter after enter press a pad button if not change the registry key oem name to rumblepad2 or almost any other pad name

I ended up giving up with my PS2 pad, I could drive in the game fine, but I couldn't navigate the menus with the pad.

Yeah, stupid developers not allowing you to remap your own menu controls... yet they still say the game is NOT a port

Only the 360 pad is officially supported on the PC for games.

PS2 controller is not a PC controller & would make it more of a port if it did.

You have no idea how incorrect that statement is do you?

What do you think the PC version would be a port of? Hardly the PS3 version is it?

Also, the code to make a controller work on the 360 also works on the PC as it uses the same API.

Try a program called Xpadder - you can remap any button on your controller to any key on the keyboard, and will allow you to navigate menus with a PS2 pad :)

I caved and got a 360 gaming receiver, however that's annyoing me aswell because it doesn't work unless i unplug it, turn my pc on and then reconnect it : /

In fact its your statement that i was replying to that is all wrong as your saying that because it does not have ps2 controller support it is a console port, but if it had ps2 controller support it would not be a port.
But the first half could have been sarcasm.

I was implying there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER other than lazy developing why gamepads OTHER than the 360 ones cannot be configured to work in the menus.

I managed to set my ps2 contrller up with grid using a adapter? works fine. I use a 360 controller now through because it's got analogue throttle.
You have remebered to turn the ps2 controller on with the button in the middle? just keep trying it does work.
