Forza is only £10 now, so don't think you need to make a choice between the two, just get both.
Having played both, I much prefer Forza. Playing GRID right now and it's just an arcade racer where you fly around corners as if you're on rails, bashing your way to the front of the race. Forza is much more of a racer's game, and being 60fps as opposed to 30fps, it's much smoother.

Forza 2 may be a year old and not as flashy (or should that be as brown), but at least there's some actual sense of handling. I dread to think what the once great Codemasters will do with the F1 license if this is anything to go by.
