Grid Or Forza?

Forza is only £10 now, so don't think you need to make a choice between the two, just get both.

Having played both, I much prefer Forza. Playing GRID right now and it's just an arcade racer where you fly around corners as if you're on rails, bashing your way to the front of the race. Forza is much more of a racer's game, and being 60fps as opposed to 30fps, it's much smoother.

Forza is amazing, and very VERY god value for money now, Grid is, a bit of fun, but not as good by any stretch!

Get Forza, then when Grid is reduced, think about getting that. :)

Is that £10 second hand?

I had originally bought Forza for £15 at launch, and really liked it but I got bored of the career mode. Online was still great fun but my Live account ran out so I traded it in for £30 when it was worth the money and I was going to buy it when it dropped in price again.

i always treat my endurances on forza as a massive time trials trying to shave of .100 of a second each lap, of course you run wide or hit stear in too hard and you loose time but love it :D

+1

A lot of people I know play Forza so we have a bit of a contest on lap times that keeps the game very competitive! :D

Chalk and cheese imo.

Forza 2 is aimed at people who want a simulator, it may not be one, but it’s as close as you can currently get on this gen (that I know of).

I only played the demo of Grid, but it just felt like your bog standard arcade racer, only with flashy graphics. A total let down tbh, as I have always enjoyed the TOCA games on PC :(

Scort.

I downloaded the demo of Grid this afternoon, and was properly shocked. Without the driver aids the handling is horrific, and with them the car can turn a near right angle at speed. Forza 2 may be a year old and not as flashy (or should that be as brown), but at least there's some actual sense of handling. I dread to think what the once great Codemasters will do with the F1 license if this is anything to go by.

The only thing that actually impressed me with Grid was the game referring to me by name. That was cool. :o

i had another crack and forza earlier, hadnt played it in ages. difficulty is about 25% normally. Tried turning off tc in a 400bhp corvette, that was funny lol. Had to turn it back on because it was impossible to accelerate out of corners :p

Why do people continue to expect GRID to be a simulator?

I didn't, I just wanted some sensation of driving a racing car, I didn't get that in the demo and won't be risking my money on the full game.

Damn shame, as I was very much looking forward to the Le Sarthe circuit :(

Wouldnt touch grid with a barge pole, its absolutely terrible. Forza is good, its still not a sim, but its a damn sight better than grid.

Looks like im getting Forza then lol!

Couldnt get downloads as Virgin F'd up my broadband upgrade!, didnt realise it was THAT cheap at the time too, so its all good.

Was only promising games I really wanted and wanted Burnout to be realsed, but dispise Free Roam in racing games, i want tracks, or at least obvious street courses, hate living my games in a Map Hud in the corner!
