The 1.1 may work ok to start up Grid 1.2, but your server list will show 1.1 servers :/

Had to re use the CD to join a mate online

I just installed the 1.2 patch and again now can't startup with the CD!!! :mad:

(was using the 1.1 no CD crack (don't start...was forced to))

What a **** take. I bought this game and it causes me more stress then not buying :eek:

Can I uninstall just the 1.2 patch??

iiirc someone said the 1.1 crack works with the 1.2 game.

EDIT: Yes the 1.1 crack works with the 1.2 patch.

If it wasn't for the cracks it would be unplayable for me, so hoooora for the crackers!

It doesnt though, it loads up 1.1 servers

All games apart from Farcry that I have owned PATCH the .EXE.

This means if you put back the old NoCD/DVD, you basically UNPATCH the game.

The EA BF games are a joke for that as they don't really have a worth while single player mode.

mount the first part of the cd using deamon tools & punkbuster then thinks your using your cd.

The NoDVD 1.2 is avail at normal place (GCW), its got a typo as says 1.1 on main page under 12th July but it IS 1.2.

Patch 1.2 fixed my game not closing (running in Task Manager) when I do close it. (EDIT) still sticks at times.

Anyone having problems on the Japan tracks when using the no dvd patch where Grid will crash.

Works fine when i have my dvd in.

havent tried the patch but the trick to start it which seemed to work for me without using a noCD exe.

Eject the DVD
Click the shortcut
Ignore the No disc inserted (leave the window open though)
Insert DVD
Allow the autorun to bring the install/play option up
Now click retry on the No disc inserted window

GRID still stick at leaving a race back to main screen or actually closing game.

You have got to be fast to kill it in Task-Man before it goes back to full screen.

This is 1 buggy POS game IMO, and peeps don't mess with words over on the CM forums lol.

I consider it utterly reprehensible and an insult to the human race that a company should play such a cruel trick on unsuspecting users. does anyone that uses it through Steam have issues? (i'm not trying to brag here, just pointing out that it doesn't seam to have any problems when going through steam)

I've purchased GRID from Steam also,as the price wasn't much of a difference if i bought a retail copy.
I can't recall having one single issue here as regards to crashes or bugs that others seem to mention on here. Maybe were the choosen ones
