Thanks for the advice, have tested it and it doesn't work. From what i understood the 6XX series are indeed a pain to make work with windows 10. Especially with all the complications you have with MSI GS30. the 9xx series is adapted to win 10 so folks who use those cards with the gs30 generally tend to have less problems.

As a measure of last resort i tested to use my antiquated GT8600 (I know it is a disgrace...:() and it works....

Will do as a stop-gap measure until summer when Nvidia and AMD release their next generations.

Also tried the bios you uploaded, but i cant find any hidden options under advanced. How should i do to access them?

Thanks in advance!

The BIOS i linked was not modified, the modified BIOS can only be flashed by removing the chip and manually programming it.

I've actually refreshed my setup a bit:

I've put in a noctua 92mm fan and swapped the ultra high density koolance for a slim medium density EK 120 radiator where the single fan can get as much air as it wants.

Cooling is little touchier but with a similar fan profile I was getting 53C max running at 1490/8000 in games.

The advantage of this setup is getting more air running through the box helping the ambient temp inside stay cooler for the PSU and GPU VRMS.

Well Meaker dude, after following this journey of yours :) it has re-kindled my interest into gaming laptops once more, so as of this morning have a Clevo P750DM sporting a i7 6700 and a GTX 980M on its way. It will never match your Titan, however this laptop is going to be replacing my desktop and it is the closest l could get to my i7 4790k + 980 (GTX 980 Ti got booted as it had really bad fan noise/oscillation and now run a MSI 980).

Nice machine :D

You can get a lot more than stock speeds out of that 980m ;) Should be fairly close to a stock 980 desktop with some love

Have a look at the premamod bios files if you feel like having an adventure.

As part of a second stage I have moved fan control over from the GPU and gone for the aquaero 5 LT control board:

I have used the 4 included sensors to help expand my monitoring, I may get the LED expansion and move the lights over to it too but we will see.

Some thought will need to be put in the cables to make them tidy however I will be able to attach them to the actual front plastic and no longer have a cable going to the GPU at all (except for power) which makes that easier to take out if I need to.

I may need to get some light diffusion material as i'll no longer shine the LEDs through the reservoir but being too close and they will just look like point lights.

I may be able to give the dragon a glowing heart however :D

I need to extend the bottom strip and sort the wiring still along with improving the light blanking in certain areas but it's a start :)

I'll tell my wife you said so (she cut it out for me ;) )

I have ordered a few tools to re-do the molex on my pump power cable (the male molex plugs and a crimping tool) as the outer clamp came loose and the cables are fraying. I'll probably shorten it while I am there as it's far too long for my needs.

I'll also strip off the floppy connector and replace it with a molex as I need another molex plug for the LED board and don't want messy adapter cables.

I have decided to plum for this little guy:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...sfx-power-supply-cp-9020105-uk-ca-218-cs.html

It's working well and I am using the extra space ;)

But I could not figure out why channel 1 would go bright green with any level of green output....

Spent the last 2 hours checking for shorts with my multimeter.....

I had tied the green output to range between.... 100% and 100% *bangs head on desk* now it's back to 0% to 100% it works properly again :p

The SF600 is really tiny:

Compared to the gear S2 smart watch:

Messy but all in:

See the rewired molex right by the pump :D Turned out really well.

I think I do need the material to spread the light for the flames.

I'll make a video of it changing.
