** GT REPLACEMENT - Watercooling Optimised Fan **

You say the cables will be black. Will they be braided or just black ribbon/twist style?
Also when they become the OcUK special. Will they replace the white/blue on the tech labs bundles? (the SR1 for example)

ribbon style. i didnt want to add expense to the item. besides, most modders would braid their own cables anyway.

they will replace the FQ121 in all of our offerings as soon as the stock is here.

Hey Rjk, if these are successfully do you envision getting others custom made? a GT1850 equivalent is a bit too much for me but I would happily snap up a couple dozen GT1450 equivalents.

running them at 10v would do that.

the whole point of this model was to make it accessable to everyone
the reason the high performance 1850 GT did so well was because it could be slowed down.

same story with this, you can always make a fast fan slower/quieter.

there isnt much point in us making multiple skus when most enthusiasts can either solder in a resistor, add a speed reduction cable, or run it off a controller.

Obviously with this being a custom production run for a product that Silverstone don't normally offer, there is a lead time due to production of around 6-8 weeks. alongside the shipping time etc, it is looking like the product will be with us around Christmas time.

I will start a pre order deal thread closer to the time when I have a more firm ETA from Silverstone. as it stands now, It would be unfair of me to start taking orders this far in advance without knowing a proper ETA or accounting for further delays.

the piranha is more a heatsink fan.

you are best considering something like a noiseblocker black silent as a case fan

No worries. There is a great range of WC orientated fans available at the moment anyway. The FQ121 is great for a low cost option, with the ocuk spec fans coming soon. Again though, this is just supposed to be a great performer at a low price.
If you want the best though, take a look at the EKWB Vardar fans. They aren't much more money and they are designed for out and out performance.

Then there are the Parvum fans too which work well on rads too but look loads better.
