GT5 delayed

Well if it's delayed here I don't mind. I'm still enjoying Forza plus I need to buy another PS3 for this, which should only be worth about 10 quid by the time it's released :)

It appears as if Polyphony keep adding bits here and there and it's just making the release date further and further away. The source I read from said an indefinite delay, didn't realize in reality it was only a month. Sony are probably going to start prodding him soon as well because they wanted to bundle PS3's with GT5 for sale in the spring period in Japan, but that's probably not going to happen now.

I hope this doesn't turn into a game that's constantly pushed back. So far it's been delayed to allow them to work on both GT5 Prologue updates and also to finish GT:PSP. I'm actually convinced that they knocked up Gran Turismo for the PSP in about a year. It feels really rushed, the features that made it GT in the first place are missing. I don't know what's keeping Polyphony from finishing this game. But stop giving everyone false hope and then going back and saying it was only an estimate etc. Either give ONE official release date that is maybe over exaggerative so that it gives you time to add everything you want and add the level of polish you want, instead of us being given several different release dates and then being let down every time.

Polyphony are good at this, look at Gran Tusimo for the PSP. Something that was originally slated as a launch title ended up coming out this year.

.... and being totally crap, it just features single races.

But with each delay I find myself feeling less and less annoyed and I am almost at the point that I don't care anymore.

True. And the garage system is annoying to say the least. In all honesty I think they should just release Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo 2 on the Playstation Store to make up for GT for the PSP. I waited so long and had so much anticipation to play what is essentially arcade mode with some tacked on license tests that don't count toward anything except 100% game completion.

I've played my old PS1 disk version on my PS3 slim and it's not that bad! I thought it would be absolutely terrible but there's certain games that I can see past how badly the graphics and sounds have aged.

:)

I didn't mean the graphics or sound, I was talking about how awful the cars handle. I gave up on playing it after the awful handling of the cars.

I should have made my point clearer.

not suprised but not overly fussed, it's got to the point now of its ready when it's ready, just be interested to see if it makes that much money and is actually fun

On a wheel the GT TT handling is good once you get it set up correctly and is a challenge to drive it fast, like you expect it to be for Pro physics. Using the controller takes a lot of skill, more than I have, and i expect more than any on here has, but that is the whole purpose of the TT, to find the great drivers.
Still this delay is a bit of a shame no problem for us as its not delayed over here, still for what its doing its way above any other racing sim games coming out, I would rather them spend time polishing and improving the game than rush it only to patch it all the time.
