GT5 delayed

I was expecting a similar experience to Forza 3 physics.
As much as I love playing FM3 sometimes ya have to wonder about the physics in that too at times?

True, but do you really think that when they announced the game at the E3 in 2006 they had a planned releasedate of summer 2010?
What a load of fuss over nothing lol, most games have been delayed take a look at Alan Wake, announced E3 2005 should be out this year (some time), SCC, MGS4, FF13, too human announced in 1999 out 2008 etc!
A new GT game was announced in 2006 at E3, since then PD have released GT HD (scrapped), GT5P, GT PSP and had just finished Tourist Trophy, so its not like they actually havent done anything since GT4. The 4.2 million + copies of the GT5P should also help pay for the devlopement of GT5 so its not the case they need the cash for GT5 now.

As said I enjoy and like FM3 in many ways hence why I play it the way I do.
When GT5 arrives I bet you I will be one of the most critical of it here as well so dont go getting your knickers in a twist.

I made that off hand comment as a joke. I have no doubt you're as critical over every racing game you play going by your setup bud. Lines of text don't always come off as intended.
I very much doubt it, i'm just nitpicking those that are saying 'zomg delayed AGAIN!?!'. While i agree they didn't expect it to be out 2010 when they started, i'd also say that i doubt they had any real idea when it would come out at all, hence the 'when it's done' attitude. I imagine it's pretty damn difficult to predict when such a huge project is going to end with any real accuracy in the early stages of its life (or middle for that matter).
It's impressive how there's a relationship between pd and sonys blatant disrespect for it's own consumers and the unrivaled levels of fanboyism those consumers exhibit.the fan-publisher relationship is comparable to a boyfiend keeping his girl friend on her toes by treating her like **** so they want more.

WTH? Are you saying that they should release a game unfinished just to please impatient people? Is it because its GT5/PD/Sony it gets this much hate as such? As i posted in another thread Ubisoft have delayed SCC again for what must me the 5 or 6th time ? Are people jumping around going on about Ubi/MS disrespecting there customers?
I would actually say the fact they released GT5P a side project as such for GT5 to please there consumers shows more respect to them.

How about to even teasing a date until the game is nearly there like everyother games maker in the world, gt5 isn't special no game has special circumstances all other games come out will little fuss but pd everytime seem to make a meal of it. And gt5p was in development before the psp was out and has only now come out it's a joke considering the quality of the game pd need to get organised it's not like there poor or Sony for that matter

Nintendo usually announce games very close to release dates, Heavy Rain release date was announced less than 2 months before its release, some games have there date announced early to build hype some dont need/want to.

Why would they do that is it because
1) Not happy with some part of the game and want to fix it
2) Want to add more content/Features
3) Want to make it a world wide or close to release so they can max advertising/hype
4) A game breaking Tech issue not yet sorted
5) Move it into Q1 11 instead of an over congested Q4 2010
6) A mixture of the above
7) Or they are full of themselves and delay it on purpose to upset their fanbase and to cause rage on the internet/forums just because they hate the people who have bought over 50 million of there previous games?

Hopefully the longer it takes the better a game it will be. I know GT5 Prologue was little more than a tiny morsel of what the game may be like but they've needed to make massive improvements since then. The Time Trial thing they released not so long back felt like a different game handling wise.

look don't mistake me for someone who blindly hates Sony or pd because I don't I owned a ps2 and loved the gt games for it. I'm by no means asking them to rush the game but I think personally they should stop being disrespectful by constantly saying things like should be out for (insert date here) when clearly they have no chance of meeting this date. why not just do what turn 10 do and begin to hype a game when it's roughly finished in some way they aren't building game from the ground up they have physics models etc ready that they can just improve upon and yet try take about 5 years to make a game and tease it's existence after the first year or so of it's development. saying things like 'next year' 'next Christmas' 'gtpsp will be out a few months after psp' only to come out about 4 years later. they need to seriously think about there project management they have a huge amount of funding and take ages to do anything I'll be surprised if it's out before September tbh

PD wanting to get every little detail perfect. Still looking forward to this and i quite like their "It'll be done when we are happy attitude about it" instead of rushing a release.
