I have a mod for mine, which gives a Crysis style motion blur, smoother shadows and improved focal depth of field with buildings. It has pretty much no change on the framerate and looks a huge amount better.

I'll have to give the Boris mod a go with the AA to see how it all ends up.

I take your point Squark, that night shot is obviously not even close to the clear night conditions in the PC shot for comparision.

Hard to make a clear call though, that console rooftop shot is pretty murky in the distance as well. Having lived in some badly polluted cities around the globe, I assumed that was a deliberate effort to add pollution haze. The distance clarity on the PC version is pretty distracting to me!

Your spec is almost identical to mine just your CPU is clocked slower and your screen is higher resolution, the AA knocked my FPS down to about 25FPS, I doubt you'll get on particularly well with it.

It's called Ultimate Graphics Tweak, and it can be downloaded here:

There are different combinations but I find Tweak 1 to be the best.

I couldnt find the main gta thread but is it possible to restore save games after reinstalling the os with Steam GTA

I know it can work with the dvd version but not managed to make it work on steam so far

You just need to put the files back in the correct location.

On W7 it's:

C:\users\*user*\appdata\local\rockstar games\gta vi\savegames\user_XXX\

Its not that simple at all and if you dont get it right your saved game is lost for ever. You MUST put the Games for Windows Live files back in the right place as well.
