Strangely the v first time I ran it, it sort of worked. But rather than proper VR I kind of had a big screen picture and then the image again behind it. I quit out to try and fix that and then it never worked again! Shame as I'd like to give it a go, but I'll just wait for HL:A now.
Yeah it looks something like that, but I'm not running SteamVR (I own GTA V through rockstar launcher only). Quick google doesn't suggest Oculus Home has an equivalent feature which I need to turn off?
Ok so I've managed to get it to stop crashing now - linked to TXAA being on for some reason. But I'm still getting the weird VR big screen/theatre mode display rather than actual VR.

Make sure you use only ONE config setting from either High, Medium, or Low directory in the download. And then, don't change any in-game settings. I expect you already know this but, the file "settings.xml" goes in \Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V, and the file "commandline.txt" goes in your GTA V game folder. This file contains the resolution setting for each of the High/Med/Low. High = 1080p.
Thanks. Wiped the whole install, downloaded again and didn't touch anything in the settings other than turning head-bob off etc. Checked the game ran fine normally. Then extracted the VR mod into the dir, ran the batch file and started it up again and still not working. Back to crashing as soon as I get into the game
