GTA IV graphic mod

It won't remove 1.060 afaik. Not even sure if you can uninstall the patch tbh -never tried it.

Try this for a mod that will work on any version of GTA IV :

Maybe not quite as nice looking as some of the Enb mods, but still much better than the stock look.

I've tried the ENB series mod before, but it didn't seem to work to well.

I'm installing GTAIV now to try this mod.

The Enb mods can work fine as long as you're using the right versions of GTA IV with it.

Someone posted this in the screenshot thread recently :

Looks fantastic compared to the stock look.

And if you're messing around with multiple GTA mods, using JSGME will save a lot of hassle / headaches :

Just a badly made game, on all platforms it runs like a 2 legged dog

No, it doesn't. As I've said it works fine here. Would you call FSX a badly made game purely because it can't be maxed out by OC'd i5 and GTX580? No, it's due to it's fast open space and heaps of AI/Traffic

Similar to GTAIV.

Wrong example. Even though FSX scales with multi-cores, it had a very poor multi-cpu support at first and even now, with two Service Packs (big updates) and one expansion pack, it doesn't fully utilise multi-cores. If it did, anyone with a decently clocked quad-core would be able to play the game with everything maxed out.

Not only that, the game doesn't make a use of graphics cards at all when you compare it with the CPU load. Much of the workload could be put on the GPU.

I hope Microsoft Flight will be much better optimised.

The compressed file is it all. Did you read the readme.txt file in the archive ?

You can't just drag & drop the contents of the archive to the GTA folder, as there is different shaders choices depending on what version of GTA you're running.

sorry for bump, but im interested in using the enb series mod with this, i didnt have a chance with my old rig (sig), but im getting a 6950 CF rig with a 2500k @ 4.4ghz tommorow, will that run the enb smoothly?

Take a look through this thread. It has download links for a version that will work with the episodes.

edit - forgot the link

I've got the Steam version of EFLC with the latest patch installed (1.1.2 I believe).

Copied over the files from that link but the game crashes on startup. Removed Settings folder and copied YAASIL's ASI Loader and ScriptHook.dll files to the main folder. Still crashing :(

got it running and it looks good. But no where near as good as screenshots plus i cant get aa working it just crashes :(

But at least it looks nicer than the original gtaiv.

Don't think it works with v1.1.2, although I'm not 100% sure - haven't tried it myself.

If you're running Afterburner then try quitting it before running EFLC, as the enb dll conflicts with it afaik.

One that definately will work, as it doesn't use the enb dll but doesn't look quite as nice, is RealityIV v1.62 :

Disabling Afterburner worked - the only drawback is the game runs like crap now. Actually not that bad but far from smooth, stutter-free experience.

Now to figure out the way to overclock with Afterburner disabled and it should be what I'm after :)

ive got it running but doesnt look anywhere near as good as the screenshots :( AA just gives an error. i dont like the ingame blur thing, it looks horrible and consolely.
