Hmmm, that's not the GTA Font and it mentions nothing of GTA... I don't think it's anything to do with GTA.

LOL, just read the page title.

Still... I feel this game will be a big let down unless they change direction from the previous games.

I would love to see the religious worshippers who were in the original top down GTA. The ones who followed you everywhere if you punched one of them :D

Anyone know when they started working on gta4???

I think it was 30 Months ago. My friend saw some near final renders 12-18 months ago, so it's been on the go for a long time.

I heard rumours it was already underway before San Andreas was released.

if they make the map "too big" it will ruin it imo, they need to make it just slightly bigger than san an then it will be perfect

^ Agreed, San Andreas was border line "too big" for me, driving between the islands was just so boring, and it didnt help that much of it was just boring country side with nothing to do

Yeah I know, but I didn't want to mention religous groups in case of backlash - I dont know if anyone on these forums is an orange wearing tamberine basher ;)

I think the idea is to make it really big so that they can keep releasing episodic content to keep it feeling fresh.

Something 2-3x the size of Saints Row would keep me happy, though remember there were rumours you could board a plane and fly to other islands (countries), if this is the case there wouldn't be any monotonous driving from island to island.

I hope they found the line between size and detail, Saints Row was quite good, but short of a couple of buildings and the Church of the Saints, there was a lack of details, some poor texturing and some awful or total lack of normal mapping.

I don't think you can now see Saints Row as a possible rival title, perhaps a sequel though.
