Screw them. It's a british game. I still think it would be great if they did it based on several UK cities. Like SA where there were 3 cities, there could be ones based on London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and maybe a couple of others.

Good idea. I was thinking Liverpool/Manchester, London and Cardiff, dotted around.

Edinburgh for GTA4 would be awesome, nothing like rampaging around your home in a video game.

I think Rio De Janairo (spelling?) or some other South American City would be very cool, London would also make a cool setting. Fingers crossed that its not some mediocre mid-west American city.

What was it called? I know the Mondeo was called a Mundano.

The Cossie was the name for the Cosworth, and they also had the Bug for the VW Beetle and (my favourite) the Jugular for the Jaguar

Except they have never been real environments, just based around a location.
Anyway, if you want to see Edinburgh then Project Gotham Racing 2 is the game!

Is GTA:IV coming out on PC within a reasonable time frame of the other plafforms releases?
Because if it isnt, it really would be the excuse i'd need to get a 360 or PS3.

Well, VC and SA were both released on PC a year after they came out on the Xbox and PS2. So it will probably be the same this time.

Why is everyone mentioning different cities?

I don't think this is going to be what everyone thinks it is. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something completely unexpected.

I think everyone thinks it is going to be the same as GTA3 but with better graphics and slightly tweaked gameplay. Time will tell

Has anyone listened to this week 1upyours podcast? One of the guys on there said he had some beers with some of the devs from Rockstar and they were winding him up with misleading info, but one thing he did get from the conversation is that it's not going to be what we expect it to be.

GTA4 will be set in space. You steal rocket ships, Deal drugs with intersteller travellers, and work your way up to head overlord of the Galaxy.

You thought wrong im afraid, the only official information we have is that it is called GTA IV, will be released on October 19th (17th?), and there will be a trailer on 29th March. Anything else is purely rumour.

I think it'll be multi player like how tdu was done, single and multi combined. It wont be space based, that wouldnt even be gta anymore. Maybe futuristic but not space.
I want a modern syndicate wars, that game was so modern but now so old, just imaging a future gta reminds me of that game tbh

Rockstar have not announced a single thing about GTA4 yet. Whilst there are rumours about the location, nothing is set in stone.
