Overclock that Q6600 to 3GHz+ and you should get a pretty solid frame rate with a few of the options turned down. Even without the overclock you should get a very playable frame rate.

Finished playing it for the first time on PC last weekend. It looks amazing with the proper gfx mods/settings and is worth playing it on PC just for that reason.

It looks better live.

I dunno i serached google and others had similar problems I tried all kindsa stuff but could never get it to save the game so had to send it back

Can't speak for the XBox version but due to an infamous bug, I never got to complete the last mission of the game on PC, so I raged and have not purchased a R* product since!

/end cool story

ok what was this bug lol? I got to complete the last mission of the game on PC. I got the game when it originally came out and played it solid as soon as i got it.

i think some people had problems pressing the space bar fast enough to get on the helicopter when you jump off that ramp. i could be wrong though. :p

What does the viva la new york mod do exactly ?

Also do the car mods add new cars to the game or are they replacing existing ones?

Does it cause the game to crash like it did in San Andreas ?

Looks ace , think i need to look out GTA, on that new york link , whats the difference between GTA IV version and GTA IV EFLC version please ?

My pc GTA is via steam ( i bought the boxset when it was on offfer ) , thanks chaps.

I feel sorry for console owners who have this game. I watched my son play this today on his 360 and the framerates and view distance suck big time. Rockstar did us proud with the PC version. My screenshots above were from Lost Damned dlc which has noise effect on, kinda like Mass Effect film grain. Finally found the option to turn that off was only on the DLC.

Got both but can't really comment due to the PC version having good fps but stuttering every few seconds no matter what settings I use, waste of time so it just sits on my Steam account and probably never to be started up again.
